As an Installer, you will be responsible for installing and repairing commercial awnings using hand and power tools. This role requires climbing standard ladders up to 32 feet, measuring awnings, and tying them onto pre-erected bases. You will also read installation instructions and dimensions and work outdoors in various weather conditions. You will travel to sites across Northeast Ohio with an experienced installer and assist in warehouse duties.
Responsibilities
- Install and repair commercial awnings using hand and power tools.
- Climb ladders up to 32 feet to perform installations and repairs.
- Measure dimensions using a tape measure and read installation instructions.
- Work outdoors in extreme heat or inclement weather conditions.
- Travel to various sites across Northeast Ohio with an experienced installer.
- Assist in the warehouse with assembly, loading, and unloading trucks.
- Perform basic pre-assembly of awnings.
Essential Skills
- 1+ year of experience with hand and power tools.
- 1+ year of experience in manufacturing or production.
- Ability to read a tape measure to the 16th inch.
- Comfortable using ladders and working up to 32 feet in the air.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Work Environment
This position operates on the first shift from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with overtime available every Saturday between March and October. The typical workday ranges from 10 to 12 hours, with at least 6 hours on Saturdays during the busy season. The role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and involves physical activity such as climbing ladders and handling heavy tools and equipment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
