Job Title: Quality Technician
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As a Quality Technician, you will be integral to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Inspection and Testing: Conduct inspections and tests, including First Articles, customer returns, incoming inspections, and supplier issues, using various gauges such as micrometers, calipers, and protractors.

Drawing Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret technical drawings to verify product specifications.

Document Control: Assist in updating and maintaining quality-related documentation.

Nonconforming Product Management: Ensure proper segregation, identification, and disposition of nonconforming products, and log information into the Nonconformance Log.

Problem Resolution: Help identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues.

Complaint Handling: Manage complaints from suppliers, customers, and internal sources, and enter information into the complaint system database.

Operator Support: Provide guidance, training, and support to operators on quality processes.

Product Audits: Perform audits during production and inspection stages.

Dock Audits: Conduct final audits of finished goods before shipment.

Incoming Inspection: Assist with the inspection of raw materials and products from external processing.

Record Maintenance: Keep accurate records in line with Business Management System requirements.

Additional Duties: Take on other tasks as assigned.
Qualification Requirements

Education and Experience

Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent is required. Additional education or training in quality assurance is preferred. ASQ certifications are a plus.

Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the quality assurance field.
Skills

Proficiency in basic math.

Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Skilled in using measuring and test equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, protractors).

Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Word and Excel.
Physical Requirements

Regularly required to stand and sit.

Frequently use hands to handle tools, objects, and controls.

Occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs.
-
Specific vision abilities required include peripheral vision, close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The work environment includes:

Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts.

Rare exposure to vibration.

Typically, loud noise levels.

Compensation

Pay Rate: $24 per hour.
Pay Details: $23.00 to $24.00 per hour
