Upper School Classroom English Teacher

Employment Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Reports to: Upper School Principal 9-12

Start Date: August 2025

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.; following the school calendar. Additional time as needed for after-school meetings, conferences, and professional development.

Job Summary: Able to teach various levels of English and applications with the ability to integrate faith and learning into the curriculum.


Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of adolescent students.
  • Conduct ongoing formal and informal assessments of student achievement.
  • Maintaining accurate, complete, and current records of student progress, achievement, and behavior.
  • Establish and maintain open communication with parents and students through a variety of means, including face-to-face conversations, email, phone calls, and conferences.
  • Work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
  • Weekend and evening hours as necessary to support events.


Qualifications:

  • Licensed teacher with 9-12 certification for the state of Ohio
  • Must be a committed Christian who is comfortable in a multi-denominational Christian community
