We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for our second shift, working from 5pm-3am, 50-55 hours a week. This role involves operating brand new machinery in a job shop environment, with business booked out for years. You will be responsible for operating the identified machines with maximum efficiency, ensuring proper fixture, tooling, material, and setup items are available and used effectively.
Responsibilities
- Review the Production Part Machine schedule daily.
- Review Machine Operator Instructions and Workzone to understand tasks for each part.
- Operate machines to achieve maximum throughput and utilization. Inform management of anticipated and actual completion times.
- Inform management of anticipated conflicts for future operations.
- Perform inspections on the machine to ensure parts meet tolerance requirements.
- Perform off-machine inspections to verify part thickness.
- Clean and wrap machined parts to prepare for shipment.
- Update reasons for idle time daily and participate in activities to improve throughput or utilization.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Complete required preventative maintenance activities.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of CNC experience.
- Knowledge of G&M codes.
- Ability to edit programs.
- Proficiency with blueprints, calipers, and micrometers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Horizontal Boring Mill and Vertical Milling Machine.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment
Work is coordinated through the applicable supervisor and communicated via the Production Part Machine lineup. The role requires ensuring proper tooling, material, and setup items are available and used efficiently, which may involve teamwork. The machine operator must be diligent and focused on meeting or exceeding department utilization and throughput goals.

This is a Permanent position based out of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $66560.00/yr.

Vacation pay is granted in a lump sum at the second payday of the month of an employee’s anniversary.
