A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Medical Inventory Clerk / Health Information Technician in Columbus, OH.
The Medical Inventory Clerk / HIT would be working for a hospital related to a correctional facility. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.

Medical Inventory Clerk / HIT Compensation

The pay for this position is $17–$18 per hour

Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Medical Inventory Clerk / HIT Highlights

This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (1st shift)
Medical Inventory Clerk / HIT Responsibilities

Answer phones and take verbal orders from healthcare providers

Order medical supplies and maintain accurate inventory

Track inbound and outbound orders; prepare returns and outgoing shipments

Unpack and inspect supplies; report any discrepancies
-
Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles

Perform cycle counts and remove expired items
-
Issue inventory to departments and update supply systems

Generate reports in Excel for supply tracking and pricing
-
Maintain accurate documentation of requisitions and inventory

Ensure proper medical equipment is stocked and functional

Liaise with suppliers to manage quality, demand forecasting, and logistics

Deliver supplies throughout the hospital as needed
-
Support units that may be short-staffed as needed
Medical Inventory Clerk / HIT Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
-
Previous inventory and administrative experience
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Comfortable working in a correctional hospital setting and around inmates
-
Must wear scrubs at all times
-
Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a hospital or clinical environment

Familiarity with medical equipment and inventory systems
