Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our Tap Hole Clay (THC) production team. This role involves overseeing the entire production process, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality control, and meeting production targets.
Responsibilities
- Enforce adherence to all safety and 6S guidelines, policies, and procedures within the team, and promptly address any safety concerns or incidents.
- Provide clear guidance, support, and leadership to the THC production team, ensuring the team performs their duties effectively and efficiently.
- Monitor the entire production process, including equipment operation, material handling, and quality control, to ensure smooth and consistent operations.
- Ensure that finished products meet the quality standards by overseeing inspection processes, making necessary adjustments, and addressing any quality issues promptly.
- Work with the team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets while adhering to schedules and timelines.
- Supervise the loading of raw materials into the production line, monitor material flow, and oversee the proper storage and organization of finished products.
- Identify and address equipment malfunctions or breakdowns, coordinating with maintenance personnel when necessary, and assisting team members in resolving technical issues.
- Ensure the accurate and timely recording of production data as per the standard production and quality assurance procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized production area, including equipment cleaning and ensuring proper waste disposal in accordance with regulations.
- Foster collaboration among team members and quality control teams to optimize production processes, resolve issues, and continuously improve operations.
- Provide training to new team members, offer ongoing coaching, and identify opportunities for skill development within the team.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of Production Supervision experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to help troubleshoot machine malfunctions.
- Forklift experience required (valid certification a plus).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy with basic Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Work Environment
The position is based in the new Tap Hole Clay (THC) production building, overseeing 4-5 direct reports. The work schedule is 1st shift (6 AM - 4 PM, Monday to Thursday).
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Ashtabula, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $62000.00/yr.
