Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Foundry Supervisor to join our team. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are looking to contribute to the success of our organization.

Reporting to Foundry Superintendent

Plan and direct Foundry production and production support activities

Utilize personnel, materials, and equipment for efficient production

Designing efficient operations that produce a product that meets or exceeds customer requirements

Develop, implement and maintain Foundry standard practices

Supervise operations and methods of production throughout the Foundry

Responsible for the scrap yard and charge make-up

Planning and scheduling of work and equipment, including timely scheduling and performance of maintenance and repair work.

Responsible for housekeeping throughout the Foundry

Responsible for maintaining safety requirements

Instructs and evaluates employees with emphasis on correct work methods, quality, safety, and Company policy.

Requirements:

High School Diploma

Technical or trade school training or six years experience in Foundry practices

Broad knowledge of melting, pouring, and pit practices

Supervisory experience is a plus

Concepts and practices of induction furnace operation

Concepts and practices of both centrifugal and static casting of iron rolls

Thorough training in the Standard Operating Procedures for pouring of rolls

Knowledge of the Company’s Rules and Regulations and Union/Company labor agreement

Use of our computer applications

Broad knowledge of manufacturing practices in Foundry and Machine Shop

Knowledge of blueprint reading and shop math skills

Ability to plan, direct, instruct and discipline hourly workforce

Ability to plan, direct, and maintain quality and productivity in a production environment
