We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Machine Operators on the 1st shift. This role involves operating various machines, quality checking small parts, and performing machine troubleshooting and setups. The position offers an opportunity to work with epoxy, hand tools, and to be cross-trained in multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a variety of machines.
• Check small parts such as screws and bolts for quality defects.
• Run two machines simultaneously depending on workload.
• Troubleshoot machines and assist with setups.
• Work with epoxy and apply sealant to fasteners.
• Use hand tools to loosen parts and perform machine setups.
• Load and unload parts into machines.
• Hand feed machines and package parts.
• Sort and package parts.
• Lift and handle items weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Stand in one spot for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks.
• Utilize micrometers for precision measurement.
• Cross-train in other departments as needed.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of machine operator experience.
• Experience using hand tools for machine setup and changeovers.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Experience working in industrial manufacturing environments with loud machinery.
• Steel toe boots are required.
• Willingness to work some Saturdays and start shifts at 5am when needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience performing machine changeovers is preferred but not required.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with high volume production is preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment involves operating machines similar to those used in transdermal patch manufacturing. The facility can be loud and may have strong adhesive and epoxy odors. Employees are allowed to wear headphones but must stay at their stations. The team is small, with approximately 15 employees, and the average tenure is 10-12 years. This role requires wearing many hats and assisting wherever needed. The environment is not temperature-controlled, but water and Gatorade are provided in the summer.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
